2024 Olympic Qualifiers: It’s Make or Mar against Super Falcons –Ellis Vows

Head coach Desiree Ellis of Banyana Banyana of South Africa has said that the team’s clash against the Super Falcons in the final qualifying round of the 2024 Olympic Games will be a “make or mar” game.

Recall that to set up this exciting match, South Africa advanced to the last qualifying round by defeating Tanzania 4-0 on aggregate while the Super Falcons overcame Cameroon 1-0 on aggregate.

The dates of the two-leg encounter are set for April 1–9, 2024.

Ellis said in a post-match statement that Bayana Bayana can defeat Nigeria and that the squad has to start preparing earlier.

“It will be do or die (vs Nigeria),” Ellis declared after the game against Tanzania.

“We want to have an early camp, we will improve our chances when we prepare early and very well.”

The winner of this encounter will represent Africa in the 2024 Olympic Games
