2Face Idibia Appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by Benue Governor

Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Face” Idibia has been officially appointed as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia.

The announcement was made during 2Face’s courtesy visit to the Government House in Makurdi, where Governor Alia expressed his appreciation for the singer’s continuous support and advocacy for the state.

In his remarks, Governor Alia thanked 2Face for his public endorsement ahead of the 2027 elections, describing the award-winning artiste as a passionate advocate for youth development and a consistent supporter of his administration. He emphasized that the new appointment is a recognition of 2Face’s influence, commitment to community development, and deep connection to his home state.

“With his vast experience in the entertainment industry and his strong ties to the people, I believe 2Face will play a vital role in helping us promote positive values, empower our youth, and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Benue State,” the governor said.

2Face, a native of Benue, has long been involved in philanthropic and social initiatives, particularly through his 2Baba Foundation, which focuses on youth education, peacebuilding, and grassroots engagement. His new role is expected to leverage his platform and influence to drive community outreach and enhance the entertainment landscape in the state.
