Guinness World Record: Hilda Baci completes 100 hours cooking record

Hilda Baci, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours.

Hilda earlier surpassed the previous record set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019.

Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds to break the previous title.

Baci started her cooking marathon challenge on Friday at the Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State.

However, Hilda set a new record at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023.

In preparation for the competition, Hilda had a successful 24-hour dry run from April 12-13. She also partnered a fitness trainer and nutritionist to lose some weight and adjust her diet.

She and her team had designed over 100 recipes to be served at the event open to the public through registration.

”The goal of the Cook-a-Thon is to inspire every young girl about the possibility of achieving their dreams. This is why I am setting an example with this attempt. The victory of the Cook-a-Thon is a win for young women across the continent in breaking barriers, and the capacity to impact.

For the records, Hilda Baci is a young Nigerian chef from Akwa Ibom State. She owns a food brand in Lagos called ‘My Food by Hilda’.
