NSCDC Earns Plaudits For Security Of Lives And Property

Sequel to the professionalism of men and women of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as well as their courage and bravery aimed at curtailing the activities of criminal elements in the country, the Corps has been urged not to lower the guard.

This is according to the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal during a working visit to the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Audi in Abuja.

A Press Statement by the NSCDC National Director of Public Relations, Babawale Afolabi reveals that the State Governor has been consulting with relevant stakeholders since assumption of office on the lasting solutions to the lingering spate of insecurity in the State.

” I am here today to show the appreciation of the good people of Zamfara State on the Corps’ immesurable contribution to the security of lives and property in Zamfara State. We are proud of the Corps because of your exceptional and professional conduct and modus operandi that have gone a long way in our quest to restore peace and tranquility in the State ”

Governor Lawal further urged the NSCDC to do much more mostly in the areas of personnel and other logistics, just as he restated the commitment of the State in ensuring that the security agencies in the State perform and carry out their duties effectively.

Responding, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Abubakar Audi, spoke highly of the Governor’s commitment, determination and patriotic zeal towards the security of lives and property in the State whose slogan ” Farming is Our Pride”.

Concerned that the State is being treatened by persistent act of banditry and other criminal activities, the CG restated the Corps commitment towards finding a lasting solution to the insecurity menace in Zamfara State and assured the governor that NSCDC will deploy more personnel with necessary logistic back-up to further strengthen the NSCDC presence in the State.
