Liverpool has turned down a £150 million offer for Mo Salah from the Saudi Arabian team Al Ittihad as they battle to maintain their talismanic striker at Anfield,
Salah has been linked to the Saudi Pro League, which has signed players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Junior, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kanté during the transfer window.
According to sources, Al Ittihad’s initial offer for the Egyptian was for £100 million up front, plus an additional £50 million in add-on payments.
Liverpool is emphatic the forward is not for sale despite the interest, as Klopp reaffirmed in his pre-Aston Villa press conference.
“The position remains the same, absolutely,” Klopp said.
“No doubt about that. We cannot [sell Salah]. That’s how it is. Nothing else to say.”
