Employment Letters: NSCDC Warns Against The Activities Of Scammers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) has drawn the attention of the public to fake and invalid employment letters making the rounds.
The NSCDC is warning unsuspecting and desperate job seekers to exercise caution so as not to fall victim to the fraudsters and scammers.
The National Public Relations Officer of the Corps, Babawale Afolabi in a statement in Abuja on Friday revealed that the Corps has been inundated with complaints from victims who had parted with their hard earned money ranging from N250,000 to N500000 for letters which are fake at best.
“The Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Audi will like to alert the public of the fake and malicious employment letters currently circulating in the country and to state categorically and unequivocally that the misleading and criminal employment letters did not emanate from the NSCDC nor from the Fire, Immigration and Correctional Service Board but the handiwork of yet to be identified and faceless criminally-minded individuals who are taking undue advantage of desperate job seekers in the country”. Babawale narrated.
He stated further that the Commandant General has ordered for the nationwide manhunt for members of the syndicate behind the viral NSCDC employment letters adding that efforts are already yielding positive results.
