PSG Set to Leave Parc Des Princes – Club President

Club President Nasser Al-Khelaifi said on Thursday that Paris St. Germain appears to be planning to depart the Parc des Princes after the City declared the stadium was not for sale.

“Saying that the stadium is no longer for sale is far too simple. We have spent years trying to purchase what we know we desire. We now have clarity on our goals, so it’s simpler for us. For us, it’s over. At a Uefa Congress, Al-Khelaifi told reporters, “We want to move out of the Parc.”

After Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said that the stadium was not for sale, a stance that City Hall reaffirmed on Tuesday, PSG stated that they would look into other options last year.

“A sale is not desirable, because that would be a decision with no turning back… That’s why we have to rule out the sale of the Parc today. We don’t want to sell off Paris’ legacy,” Paris deputy mayor for sports Pierre Rabadan said on Tuesday.

The Parc des Princes has been home to PSG since 1974, four years after the club was founded.
