‘Zaidu back for Super Eagles AFCON final’

Zaidu Sanusi, Super Eagles defender, will return for Sunday’s AFCON final against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, authorities announced.

Due to a thigh injury, FC Porto star Zaidu was unable to play in Wednesday’s dramatic AFCON semifinal against Bafana Bafana of South Africa, which was settled only by penalty shootout.

According to official of the Nigerian coaching crew “Zaidu is not out of the competition.

“He will be fine for the final,” an official told journalists

In his absence, Ola Aina shifted to left back, and Bright Osayi Samuel of Fenerbache played right back.
