Following Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s kind welcome to the Super Eagles, head coach Jose Peseiro is giddy with anticipation.
At the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock on Tuesday, Tinubu welcomed Peseiro and his men.
After the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles finished in second place.
The hosts Cote d’Ivoire defeated the three-time champions 2-1 in the competition’s championship match.
The players and their officials were awarded with national honours, plots of land as well as flats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the reception.
Peseiro took to the social media to show his appreciation to the president.

We were received and commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who reinforced what we already felt from the Nigerian people, participating in AFCON made the whole Nation dream, happy and united, Peseiro wrote on his official X handle.
