During the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s encounter against UP Warriorz on Monday, Ellyse Perry’s destructive hitting came at an unexpected cost as he hit a monstrous six that cracked the windshield of a sponsor’s car.
At Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Perry’s side won the Women’s Premier League (WPL) by a margin of 23 runs with 58 runs off of 37 deliveries.
The automobile, which was positioned on a stage directly behind the boundary rope, was struck by the 33-year-old with four sixes in her knock, the last of which went over long on and smashed through the glass.
Perry, who gasped and held her head in her hands after shattering the window, later joked the six may leave her out of pocket.
“I was a bit worried, not sure I have insurance to cover me,” she said “So, in a bit of strife there.”
