UCL: Atletico Madrid Will Come Out Stronger Against Borussia Dortmund –Simeone

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has said that his squad has a superior game plan to defeat Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League today.

Recall that Atletico will have a slight advantage against Germany after winning the first leg 2-1 last week.

In a press conference, Simeone stated that Atletico Madrid will face a difficult match against Borussia Dortmund.

“After the 2-1 in the first leg we face a very strong team, which will start with a very high press, but the team responded very well and is confident.

“We will find a team that will come out strong, with people who arrive very well on the second line and we will try to take the game where we believe we can hurt them.

“The club is working very well and we have all grown with the important results obtained in La Liga. You have to play, not think too much. It will be a good evening in the Champions League.

“(We will face them) with enthusiasm, adrenaline, nerves, fears, responsibility… Conveying to the team what I feel, that the team is doing well.

“Any player who is in the quarter-finals, almost among the best four in Europe, is excited. We need to strengthen the mental part.

“Tomorrow the important thing is the group and whoever interprets everything best on the pitch will be in the next phase.”
