NMS Old Boys Confirm Death of Rtd Col Hassan Stan-Labo

The Nigerian Military School NMS Old Boys forum has announced the passing of Col. Hassan Stan-Labo (Rtd.).

In a statement shared on the forum’s platform, it was expressed that Col. Hassan Stan-Labo, who was vibrant on TV screens, talking mostly on national security where he often gets emotional and wept.

Air Commodore Sani Zakari (Rtd.) confirming the sad news, described the late Colonels as a respected Security consultant and defence strategist, who has left a notable mark in the sands of time.

He also disclosed that Col. Labo was a short-service officer from the 1979 NMS Boy set trained at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).

The group further lauded the dedication of the late Colonel to service, stating that it was evident throughout his career, notably in his combat operational experiences in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Western Darfur, and the Bakassi Peninsula.

An indigene of Kachia LGA of Kaduna State, Labo reportedly collapsed and passed away at his home in Lagos on Monday, April 15, 2024.

He was also the convener of the ‘FIX NIGERIA NOW group; a movement which called for better governance.
