Antonio Conte and former Serie A champion Napoli have come to a financial arrangement for Conte to become their new manager.
According to recent rumors, Napoli’s efforts to sign Conte appear to have advanced significantly. CalcioNapoli claims that Napoli’s pursuit of Conte has resulted in a breakthrough, with the two teams having finally come to an economic understanding.
Initially, there were indications that Conte was hesitating to accept Napoli’s offer. However, the deadlock has now been broken, paving the way for a potential partnership. The reported agreement entails a three-year contract worth €6.5 million per season, with Conte also given authority over player recruitment decisions.
Napoli has endorsed this approach, with CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis agreeing not to directly intervene in football-related matters.
While negotiations with Conte progressed, Napoli had also considered alternative options. Vincenzo Italiano was put on standby, and other potential candidates included Stefano Pioli and Gian Piero Gasperini. However, it appears that Napoli’s focus has shifted firmly towards finalizing a deal with Conte.
