Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has sparked controversies online after he made disparaging remarks against musicians Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy in his new song, “Brag.”
In the early hours of Friday, May 10, Nigerians were awakened by the release of controversial rap music.
Sarkodie boasted in line with the song’s theme, of selling out the O2 in 2016, well ahead of Nigerian performers Davido and Wizkid. He said that he created the pattern for them.
He further placed the Grammy Award-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif in the same category.
“Wizkid came, I was already doing it, Davido started, I was improving it, then Odogwu came through Black Sherif & Asake,” says a line from his song.
