Sean Kingston And His Mother Arrested On Fraud And Theft Charges
Jamaican-American singer, Sean Kingston and his 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, were detained after a raid on their rented Florida property.
According to warrants issued by the Broward Sheriff’s Office on Friday, May 24, Kingston and his mother worked together to deliberately swindle businesses and are now facing multiple counts of grand theft and fraud.
Turner was apprehended during the raid in Florida, while her son was detained in Fort Irwin, southern California, on fraud and theft charges stemming from a Florida warrant.
Authorities reportedly filled U-Haul trucks with items and towed away at least one car parked in the driveway during the raid.
According to the warrants, from October 2023 until March of this year, Kingston, his mother, and others “known and unknown” reportedly received things worth more than $100,000 from firms such as Mazal Jewelry Inc., Maree Inc., Ocean Auto Club, and Expimled FL under false pretense.
The items included over $80,000 worth of furniture, a Cadillac Escalade, and jewelry valued at over $400,000.
