Spanish media claim that Chelsea is in “advanced talks” to sign Marc Guiu, a young player at Barcelona.
In his seven appearances across all competitions, the 18-year-old striker scored two goals while playing for the first team in the 2023–24 season.
In October of last year, he made his senior debut for Barca under Xavi against Athletic Bilbao, scoring with his second touch in a 1-0 victory.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the English side has presented a contract offer to the youngster and wants to pay the €6m clause to “get it done soon.”
New Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has reportedly spoken to the youngster several times, and Marc Guiu is attracted to Chelsea’s project with young players and believes the Premier League suits his style of play, Daily Mail reports.
On Saturday, the Blues announced the signing of Brazilian teenage sensation Estevao Willian from Palmeiras.
The 17-year-old will officially join Chelsea next summer when he turns 18.
