Chima Udoye has won the ninth season of the reality television singing competition Nigerian Idol.
Udoye emerged the winner on Sunday after months of competing with some of Nigeria’s best vocalists.
The grand finale began with the rendition of John Legend’s “Glory” by all the 10 contestants, followed by special appearances from past winners of the reality show, Progress and Victory Gbakara.
The audience was treated to guest performances by Simi and Chike before the top 3 contestants, Lammy, Chioma, and Chima took the centre stage for their final performances.
Udoye walks away with N30 million, a music deal with a music video, a DSTV Explora with a one-year premium membership, and a brand new SUV.
