FG Set To Boost Global Competitiveness in Raw Materials, Products Development

In a strategic move to enhance economic growth and elevate its global standing, the Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the nation’s competitiveness in raw materials and product development.

This commitment was underscored at the National Consultative Committee on Competitiveness (NCCC) conference, which convened stakeholders from various sectors to deliberate on the implementation of Nigeria’s national strategy for competitiveness in raw materials and product development.

Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the critical importance of transforming Nigeria’s abundant raw materials into high-quality products. He underscored that achieving food security and boosting economic growth are possible through the application of biotechnology and other innovative technologies.

The conference served as a platform for in-depth discussions on policies and strategies necessary for leveraging Nigeria’s vast resources. Participants emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the government, private sector, and academia to drive the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage.
