Josh Oyinsan, Partner, Mimii Emerges As First Black Couple To Win Love Island UK
Nigerian couple, Josh Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube are winners of the eleventh season of Love Island, a British reality television dating show.
The duo in the process made history as the first-ever black couple to win the show. They defeated Welsh couple Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies, who finished as runners-up.
Fellow islanders Matilda Draper and Sean Stone came third on the show, while another Nigerian couple Ayo Odukoya and Jessica Spencer placed fourth.
On Monday, anchor Maya Jama announced the results, noting that the couple won the largest proportion of public votes.
The couple took home £50,000 cash prize for winning the show.
Josh, a 29-year-old Nigerian-British footballer and model, and Mimii, a 24-year-old mental health nurse and actress spoke about their future plans after the show.
Josh was excited to spend more time with Mimii away from the cameras and meet her family and friends.
