Manchester United has finalised the signing of highly rated Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte for up to €60 million.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian transfer news analyst, confirmed the transfer in an X post on Tuesday, describing it as a “done deal.”
“Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United, here we go! Deal sealed between clubs after personal terms agreed in July.
“€50m fixed fee plus €10m add-ons will be the final package.
“Ugarte will travel to Manchester as he ONLY wanted United… and United only wanted him. Done.”
This announcement came weeks after Super-agent Jorge Mendes flew to England for discussions with Man Utd regarding the potential transfer of Ugarte.
The Red Devils have been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain all summer, as manager Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his midfield options before the new season begins.
