Osimhen Not Moving To Chelsea As Napoli Talks Break Down

After the Serie A club and Premier League team Chelsea were unable to come to an agreement for the Nigerian striker before the summer transfer deadline, Victor Osimhen will stay at Napoli.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Osimhen was left in a challenging situation after talks between Chelsea and Napoli broke down late in the window.

Romano wrote on his X account, “No agreement between Victor Osimhen and Chelsea even after a new proposal was presented two hours ago. Deal completely off for Victor Osimhen. No agreement with Chelsea, and the #CFC delegation is now leaving Napoli. If nothing happens from Saudi in the next three days, Osimhen will stay at Napoli but he’s not gonna be part of the first-team squad. Relationship currently completely broken.”

Romano had on Thursday said Italian Serie A side Napoli have reached an agreement with Saudi club side Al Ahli for Osimhen.

According to him, the deal was worth €75/80m.

He also said Osimhen would be signed onto the club side for four years and would be earning €25/30m per season.

Romano, however, added that the club side also included an affordable and easy release clause for Osimhen as part of their proposal and it is lower than reported €100m.
