AFCON qualifier: Osimhen, Iwobi benched as Eagles hope to sustain momentum in Rwanda

In the Super Eagles and Rwandans’ African Cup of Nations qualification match on Tuesday in Kigali, Victor Osimhen will start from the sidelines.

As the Eagles look to build on their strong start to the qualifiers at the Amahoro Stadium, manager Austin Eguavoen has made just one alteration from the starting squad that defeated Benin Republic on Saturday.

Osimhen scored Nigeria’s second goal, just eight minutes after coming on in Saturday’s 3-0 victory against Benin Uyo but he has not won the Eguavoen’s confidence to lead the line.

In his place, Victor Boniface starts alongside 2-goal hero against Benin, Ademola Lookman,

Lazio midfielder, Tom Dele-Basiru, meanwhile has come in place of Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi who had a quiet game against Benin.

The game starts at 2 pm.

FULL LINEUP: Stanley Nwabali, Troost Ekong, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Wilfred Ndidi, Fiasyo Dele- Basiru, Bruno Onyemeachi, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Boniface.
