The January transfer window may see Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen sign a permanent deal of €90 million, according to a report by RAI Sport.
A number of teams, including Al-Ahli, Chelsea, and PSG, have expressed interest in signing the Nigerian international, who signed with Galatasaray on loan earlier this season. However, summer negotiations broke down.
Prior to moving on loan, Osimhen’s deal with Napoli was extended through June 2027, with a reduced release clause of €75 million instead of €130 million.
However, RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato, via Corriere Azzurro, claims that a separate €90m clause allows Osimhen to leave Napoli in January, although it is not valid for Serie A clubs.
Juventus has been linked with a move for the 25-year-old striker, but Galatasaray vice-president İbrahim Hatipoğlu insists that Osimhen will not leave in January.
The prolific forward, who was Serie A’s top scorer in the 2022-23 season, netted his first two goals for Galatasaray in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa. Osimhen scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli before his temporary move.
