Israeli Military Warns Residents to Evacuate Southern Beirut Amid Airstrikes Targeting Hezbollah

In the early hours of Thursday, the Israeli military issued urgent orders for residents to evacuate several densely populated areas of southern Beirut, citing imminent strikes against Hezbollah positions.

Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee warned on social media that civilians in Haret Hreik, Burj al-Barajneh, and Hadath Gharb were near facilities associated with Hezbollah, which the military planned to target shortly.

The announcement follows an Israeli air raid late Wednesday that resulted in the deaths of five individuals at a Hezbollah rescue facility in central Beirut, as confirmed by the Lebanese health ministry.

Additionally, a source close to Hezbollah reported that five people were killed and at least 11 others injured in a separate Israeli strike on the Bachoura district.

Witnesses in Beirut reported hearing a loud explosion, with some buildings shaking during the second airstrike targeting the capital this week. The escalating tensions in the region continue to raise concerns about civilian safety amidst ongoing military actions.
