Drone Launched Towards Netanyahu’s Home Amid Escalating Tensions

A drone was reportedly launched towards the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday morning.

Fortunately, neither Netanyahu nor his wife were present at the time, and there were no casualties, according to the prime minister’s office.

The origin of the drone attack remains unclear, but it follows a significant escalation in hostilities, with the Israeli military reporting that 55 rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel earlier the same day. While some of these rockets were intercepted, others landed in open areas.

This surge in violence comes just days after Israel’s military operation that resulted in the death of Yahya Sinwar, a leader of Hamas, who was considered a key figure behind last year’s attacks on Israel. Netanyahu described Sinwar’s death as the “beginning of the end” for Hamas but emphasized that the conflict “is not yet over.”

In response to Sinwar’s killing, Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group allied with Hamas, vowed to intensify its fight against Israel.

As of now, the recent drone attack has not been officially claimed by Hezbollah, which has been engaged in ongoing exchanges of fire with Israel since last October.
