Israeli Strikes on Beirut Kill Six, Including Hezbollah Official

Lebanon has reported that two Israeli airstrikes on central Beirut on Sunday resulted in the deaths of six people, with Hezbollah confirming that its spokesperson was among the victims.
The strikes targeted areas in Beirut that had been less affected by the heavy bombing that has been ongoing in the southern suburbs of the city, a Hezbollah stronghold, since the conflict escalated on September 23.
The first attack hit the Ras al-Nabaa district, killing four people, including Hezbollah’s media relations chief, Mohammed Afif, as confirmed by both the group and the Israeli military.
The second strike targeted the Mar Elias area, killing two people and injuring 22 others, with the earlier toll reporting one dead and nine wounded.
Newsmen of Lebanon described the Mar Elias district, a densely populated area that also shelters displaced people, as being struck by Israeli warplanes.
