Osun, Oyo People Waiting to Teach APC Lesson, Makinde Boasts

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has responded to a statement by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, who claimed that the APC would capture Osun and Oyo states. Makinde suggested that Ganduje might have been a bit “distracted” when making the comment, especially considering the recent governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states.

The governor emphasized that the people of Osun State, who have experienced the positive leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, would deliver a strong response to the APC in the upcoming governorship election. He expressed confidence that the people would continue to support the progress and values represented by Adeleke.

While commissioning various projects executed by Governor Adeleke, Makinde congratulated the people of Osun for choosing to support Adeleke two years ago, noting that the governor has consistently delivered on his promises and brought tangible benefits to the state.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde also praised Adeleke for not abandoning projects inherited from previous administrations, highlighting that his focus on ensuring value for public investments mirrors his own approach in Oyo State over the last five years.

Makinde further stressed that addressing the economic challenges facing Nigeria requires administrators to implement impactful policies and projects. He commended Governor Adeleke for effectively doing so in Osun State, contributing positively to the state’s development.
