World Trade Centre to unveil new amenities in 2025

The World Trade Centre (WTC) Abuja has announced plans to unveil new amenities in 2025 as part of its efforts to transform the property sector. The Vice President of WTC, Ahmed Karim Adelaja, shared this information during a year-end business and networking cocktail event in Abuja on Saturday.
He highlighted the Centre’s ongoing efforts in 2024 to support government initiatives aimed at boosting real estate growth and fostering trade.
Adelaja emphasized that WTC Abuja is not just a landmark, but Nigeria’s strategic gateway to global trade. “Our mission is clear: to attract international brands, foster innovation, and unlock global opportunities for Nigerian enterprises,” he stated.
Key initiatives planned for 2025 include the launch of a Trade Accelerator Programme to prepare businesses for global markets, participation in the Global Business Forum in Marseille, France, to strengthen international trade ties, and the introduction of advanced security measures to make WTC Abuja the most secure commercial hub in Nigeria.
Adelaja also mentioned the unveiling of an exclusive WTC clubhouse, a private space designed to enhance recreation, culture, and community well-being for residents. Additionally, a business delegation will be led to the Global Business Forum in Marseille in April to further strengthen Nigeria’s global trade presence. By Q3 of 2025, WTC Abuja aims to set a new security standard in the country by integrating advanced technology with robust infrastructure, ensuring the Centre becomes Nigeria’s most secure building. The Trade Accelerator Programme will also launch at the WTC Abuja Trade Hub, helping local businesses transition into export-ready enterprises.
In her goodwill message, Jumoke Oduwole, Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, emphasized that the ministry’s partnership with WTC aims to fast-track infrastructure development, such as export hubs, to help Nigeria become a leading export economy.
The World Trade Centre has also signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and AfriLabs to foster trade, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria and across Africa. The MOU with ACCI focuses on promoting trade and investment through joint trade missions, business matchmaking, and capacity-building programs. This collaboration aims to facilitate exports and increase Nigeria’s non-oil export earnings to diversify the economy and enhance global trade competitiveness.
The partnership with AfriLabs, a Pan-African network of over 450 innovation hubs, focuses on advancing digital trade, technology commercialization, and entrepreneurship across Africa, with emphasis on sectors like agriculture, health, and education. The agreement includes cross-promotion of events, ecosystem convening, and exploring new opportunities for growth across the continent.
