Julius Berger to establish subsidiary in Benin Republic

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has announced its intention to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in Benin Republic.

A notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited by the company’s Secretary, Cecilia Madueke, on Monday revealed that its subsidiary, Julius Berger Investments Limited (JBIL), has resolved to incorporate and register the new entity under the laws of Benin Republic.

The company’s statement indicated that the new subsidiary will be a limited by shares entity, focused on planning and constructing various civil and engineering works within Benin Republic. It also noted that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is notifying its shareholders, the Nigerian Exchange, and the investing public about this development.

Furthermore, the JBIL Board has approved the appointments of Christophe Fierens as Resident Executive Director, Goni Sheikh and Jochen Stolle as Non-Executive Directors, and Cecilia Madueke as Company Secretary.

Julius Berger is a prominent Nigerian construction firm known for its expertise in building, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
