As part of his foundation’s year-end outreach, Sunday Stephen, a former midfielder for the Super Eagles, has given 15 kilogramme bags of food to widows at the Mountain of Fire Ministry, Region 31, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
In order to provide widows in the community with a dignified way to spend the holiday season, the Sunday Stephen Miram Orphanage organised the donation.
Stephen emphasised his foundation’s broader mission, which includes supporting orphans, widows, and vulnerable children by providing education, healthcare, mentorship, and spiritual development.
Speaking during the event, he said:”Our goal is to restore hope, dignity, and opportunities for a brighter future,” he said during the event.
“Today’s event marks yet another occasion where we are distributing rice as an end-of-year gesture of goodwill to families in need, ensuring the widows in our community can enjoy the yuletide season.
“Our mission at the orphanage is to provide a safe, loving, and supportive environment for orphans, widows, and vulnerable children, helping them grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
“We are committed to offering education, spiritual development, healthcare, and mentorship, empowering each child to become a self-sufficient and contributing member of society. Through our work, we strive to restore hope, dignity, and opportunities for a brighter future.”
His wife, Miram Stephen, also expressed gratitude to the Mountain of Fire Ministry for their unwavering support of the orphanage.
She said: “It is important to acknowledge the church for its consistent compassion and dedication to the well-being of widows. Their support has been instrumental in our efforts to assist those in need.”
The event is one of many charitable activities undertaken by the foundation to uplift disadvantaged groups during festive seasons.
