Lazio now has more goals than any other team in Italy this season thanks to Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s strike against Atalanta on Saturday night, which was his second goal in Serie A and fourth goal overall.
When the Nigerian scored the first goal in their 1-1 tie with Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico, he became the sixth player from the team to score more than three goals this season.
“Dele-Bashiru (four goals) is the sixth Lazio player to score more than three all-comps goals in 24/25: a record among Serie A teams,” football stats account Opta posted.
According to Opta, Lazio are only behind Arsenal and Manchester United in the top five European Leagues.
“Considering the Big-5 European leagues, only Arsenal and Manchester United have done better (seven scorers with 4+ goals each).”
The 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder joined Lazio in the summer from Hatayspor on a season-long loan, with an obligation to buy if he impresses.
He attracted attention in the Turkish Super Lig last season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.
The Manchester City Academy graduate has now scored two goals in nine Serie A games, despite not starting most of them and has also scored two goals plus two assists in four Europa League games this season.
