Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Arrives in Abuja for Official Visit to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has arrived in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, for an official visit aimed at bolstering bilateral relations between China and Nigeria. His visit seeks to deepen cooperation in critical areas such as trade, investment, and infrastructure development.
Wang Yi landed in Abuja at 7:15 pm local time and was warmly received by Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with other senior Nigerian government officials and the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Yu Dunhai.
During his stay, the Foreign Minister is set to engage in high-level discussions with Nigerian government officials, focusing on key issues such as global challenges, regional security, and economic growth.
This visit highlights China’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its partnership with Nigeria, fostering mutual growth, and supporting efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
