The Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has authorized the disbursement of N925 million for the payment of gratuity and death benefits to a total of 367 beneficiaries.
This decision, as confirmed in a statement issued by Rashid Muhammad-Bala, a representative from the Office of the Head of Service, was made public on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the statement, the funds will be used to settle payments to various beneficiaries, including those from the state civil service, contract staff, as well as employees of the Local Government and Local Government Education Authorities.
These payments will cover the period from July 16 to September 15, 2024, ensuring that the designated recipients receive their long-awaited entitlements.
This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to meet its financial obligations to public servants and to support the families of deceased employees.
