Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode is set to have a medical with Brentford on Wednesday.
Kayode will join the Premier League team on loan, with the option to buy.
The Italian U-21 international will take Mads Roerslev’s place at the London club.
Roerslev has already agreed to a loan deal with Bundesliga club VFL Wolfsburg.
Kayode was a revelation for Fiorentina last season, making 26 league appearances for the Viola.
The full-back has however struggled to secure regular playing spot under Raffaele Palladino this term.
He could make his Premier League debut for Brentford against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on Sunday.
