Tragedy Strikes: Suspected Drunk Driver Kills Four Soldiers in Lagos

A devastating incident occurred outside the Myoung Barracks in Shomolu, Lagos, on Friday, January 31, when a suspected drunk driver struck a group of soldiers during their morning jog.

The accident resulted in the deaths of four soldiers, while several others sustained injuries.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver, who was travelling at high speed in a Toyota vehicle, repeatedly struck the soldiers before attempting to flee the scene.

The occupants of the vehicle, three young men, were apprehended by an angry crowd and beaten before the Nigerian Army intervened to restore order.

The incident has caused widespread outrage and concern, highlighting the need for stricter measures to prevent drunk driving and ensure road safety. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
