President Tinubu Set to Visit France Before Heading to African Union Summit in Addis Ababa

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday for a private visit to Paris, France, before proceeding to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During his time in France, President Tinubu is scheduled to hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.

This visit comes ahead of the African Union (AU) summit, where President Tinubu will join other African leaders at the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of AU Heads of State. The summit will take place from February 12 to 16, 2025.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the details in a statement, titled “President Tinubu Departs for France Ahead of the AU Summit in Addis Ababa.” Onanuga noted that the president will arrive in Addis Ababa early next week in preparation for the important discussions at the summit.
