Osimhen will join Juve, Roma legend claims

Roma legend Roberto Pruzzo has claimed that reliable sources have informed him that Victor Osimhen will join Juventus in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Nigerian striker, currently under contract with Napoli but on loan at Galatasaray this season, has been the subject of numerous transfer rumors, with links to PSG, Chelsea, and Al-Ahli last summer.

Osimhen had agreed to a €130m release clause when he extended his contract with Napoli in 2023, but this clause will drop to €75m at the end of the current season. Pruzzo, speaking on Radio Radio via Sport Mediaset, suggested that Juventus is the likely destination for Osimhen. “I know that Juventus’ next striker will be Osimhen,” said Pruzzo. “A reliable source close to the Nigerian’s entourage revealed it to me in Florence. They are certain they will be going to Turin next year.”

Pruzzo, who enjoyed a long career at Roma, also noted that despite the heavy links to other clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, the Nigerian forward will be heading to Juventus in the summer.

Osimhen’s move away from Napoli seems almost certain after the 2024/25 season, with his €75m release clause reportedly being a key factor. Although Manchester United has been heavily linked with Osimhen, some reports suggest that they might struggle to meet his wage demands. Former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson noted that United may not be able to agree on a deal due to the striker’s “enormous” wages.

This season, Osimhen has continued to impress, registering 22 goals and five assists in 28 appearances for Galatasaray. The rumors surrounding his future are likely to continue building as the summer transfer window approaches.
