Osimhen snatches win for Galatasaray at Alanyaspor

Victor Osimhen’s decisive header helped Galatasaray secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor at GAIN Park, extending their lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

The match saw a dramatic turn of events, with Galatasaray falling behind in the 23rd minute to a Tonny Vilhena strike. However, the Lions responded in the second half, with an own goal by Alanyaspor’s Fidan Aliti in the 51st minute bringing them back on level terms.

Osimhen, who has been in fine form, then put Galatasaray ahead in the 62nd minute with a powerful header from a corner, sealing the victory for the Turkish giants. Although he had two more opportunities to increase his tally, Osimhen couldn’t find the net again before being substituted in the 90th minute.

With this win, Galatasaray now holds a seven-point lead over Fenerbahce, with just ten games remaining in the season. After being eliminated from the Europa League, the team can now fully focus on securing their third consecutive Super Lig title, with Osimhen’s contribution proving key in their continued pursuit of the championship.
