
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has explained that the power outage affecting several areas in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is due to a technical fault on the feeder supplying electricity to those regions.
In a statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, AEDC listed the areas impacted by the disruption, which include Jabi, Kado, Life Camp, Idu, Karmo, Citec Mbora, Airport Road, Nile University, Karimajiji, Kuchingoro, Lugbe FHA 1, NIA Senior and Junior, Baba Gida Market, Mr. Biggs, Tipper Garage, Okada Bridge, Peace Village, Lugbe FHA 2, AMAC Market, New Site Leg, Living Faith Leg, CBN Estate, Sharon Leg, 1R Estate, NNPC, T.Pumpy, Rebando Football Arena, and surrounding neighborhoods.
“We regret to inform our valued customers that the outage is caused by a technical fault on the feeder serving these areas,” the company stated.
AEDC further assured the public that its dedicated technical team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore power to the affected areas as quickly as possible.
