
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially selected Max Air as the designated airline for transporting Jigawa State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
This announcement was made by the Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahmed Labbo, in a statement on Thursday in Dutse, the state capital, through the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura.
Labbo confirmed that the airlift of pilgrims will begin in May 2025, marking the start of a well-planned and efficient journey to the holy land.
Expressing his satisfaction with the preparations, Labbo assured the public that all arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience for the pilgrims.
The Director General also noted that the necessary travel bags and uniforms for the pilgrims are ready for distribution, emphasizing the Board’s unwavering commitment to providing a seamless experience both at home and abroad. He attributed the selection of Max Air to NAHCON’s emphasis on safety, reliability, and comfort for all pilgrims.
Labbo took the opportunity to thank Governor Umar Namadi for his continued support and leadership, which has significantly contributed to the success of the Pilgrims Welfare Board in managing Hajj operations.
He further stated, “As we approach the 2025 Hajj, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board is dedicated to ensuring a spiritually fulfilling and memorable experience for our pilgrims.”
In closing, Labbo highlighted that the choice of Max Air, known for its past success in airlifting pilgrims, is expected to deliver outstanding results and further enhance the overall pilgrimage experience for all those traveling from Jigawa State.
