Chelsea Secure Signing of Young Portuguese Talent Geovany Quenda

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign promising Portuguese winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP, with the 18-year-old set to join the Blues in 2026.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Friday via X, the deal was completed after quick negotiations, and Quenda is set to sign a seven-year contract, with an option for an additional year. The player has already passed his medical, confirming his future move to Stamford Bridge.

Quenda has reportedly expressed his excitement for joining Chelsea and is on board with the club’s plans under new manager Enzo Maresca.

Romano confirmed the details, stating: “Chelsea agree deal for Portuguese top talent Geovany Quenda—here we go. Medical done for Quenda after secret blitz, he will join Chelsea in 2026. Club-to-club agreement completed with Sporting, and Quenda said yes to Chelsea’s project and Enzo Maresca’s plans.

Geovany Quenda’s contract at Chelsea will be valid for the next seven years, all agreed last night. There will also be an option to extend the agreement for +1 year.”

This marks another significant addition to Chelsea’s squad as they continue to invest in promising young talent.
