The Osun State Government has issued a strong rebuttal, asserting that social services continue to operate without disruption across all local governments in the state. This response comes in light of claims from opposition parties alleging a breakdown in local government services.
In a statement released on Monday titled “Local Social Services and Governance Unimpeded Across Osun State,” signed by Olawale Rasheed, the Governor’s spokesperson, the administration dismissed the opposition’s allegations as “fake news from merchants of falsehood.”
The statement emphasized that despite the recent misinformation, essential social services—such as health, education, and social documentation—are being provided smoothly across all 30 local governments and the Area Council of Osun State.
Highlighting Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to good governance, the statement noted that local schools and health centers are functioning effectively, with an increase in local patronage. It further mentioned that the Governor recently visited several health centers and witnessed two successful childbirths at Telemu and Ido Osun.
Additionally, the government pointed to its achievements in digitizing administrative services as a testament to its efforts to improve efficiency and service delivery.
