Yoruba actress, Adunni Ade, has many people infuriated because she says that speaking Yoruba gets on her nerves.
She said this recently when she was asked to speak her Native language.
The half-caste actress who was born to a German-American mother and a Nigerian father politely refused, and gave her reasons.
Speaking in her own tongue irritates her, she claimed, and implored everyone to speak English, which is the official language in Nigeria.
Adunni also added that a lot of people are quite rude about it and forcibly demand that she speaks her native language.
She acknowledges that, given her looks, a lot of people are astonished that she can speak Yoruba.
She was also grateful to her father for bringing her to Nigeria so she could learn about Yoruba customs and culture.
