Africa Games 2023: Uganda Not a Threat to Flying Eagles — Bosso

Ladan Bosso, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, said his team is prepared for battle when they play in Group B at the 2023 African Games.

Ugandan Hippos will take on Nigeria on Thursday night (today) at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It is a rematch of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations match from 2023, in which the Flying Eagles defeated 1-0.

Bosso maintained that his club was prepared for action and had well-known players like Daniel Bameyi, Daniel Daga, and Nathaniel Nwosu on his lineup.

“We have prepared a lot for this competition,” Bosso told a press conference.

“The players are disciplined and ready for action. We are not only counting on the talents of the players but also the support of the Nigerians living here in Ghana to encourage and support the boys.”

The Flying Eagles will be hoping to better their performance from the previous edition in Morocco where they finished second.

Nigeria last won gold medal in the football event at the Africa Games in 1973.
