Nigerian sensation Umar Sadiq has been nominated for the prestigious African LaLiga EA Sports MVP award, along with a number of other outstanding African players from Spain’s top division.

According to the list provided to Pulse Sports Nigeria, 22 players have been nominated for the award, with the top three players picked.

Sadiq will go up against Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams, Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, and Celta Vigo’s Jonathan Bamba.

Other notable names on the list include Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid, Bertrand Traore of Villarreal, Cedric Bakambu of Real Betis, and Hamari Traore and Reinildo Mandava of Atletico Madrid.

The award is a testament to the growing influence of African players in LaLiga, with the continent’s stars continuing to make their mark on one of the world’s most competitive leagues.

Sadiq, who plays for Real Sociedad, has scored three goals and provided one assist in 26 appearances this season as his team pushes for a European spot.

Despite his lack of numbers, the Nigerian international will be hoping to add the African LaLiga EA Sports MVP award to his cabinet.

The competition for the award will be fierce, with Inaki Williams and En-Nesyri both enjoying impressive campaigns for Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla, respectively.

Fans will keenly await the winners’ announcement, as the African LaLiga EA Sports MVP award continues to showcase the incredible talent and diversity of the Spanish top flight.
