Ahmed Musa Denounces “Inhumane” Treatment of Super Eagles by Libyan Authorities

Ahmed Musa has publicly condemned the treatment of the Super Eagles by Libyan authorities, expressing deep disappointment over the recent events.

The 32-year-old forward called on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to impose strict penalties on the Libya Football Federation for their actions.

In a heartfelt statement on X, Musa said, “I’m extremely disappointed by the unjust treatment of the Super Eagles, the NFF officials, as well as dignitaries in Libya. This is not sportsmanship, and I urge @CAF_Online to intervene and investigate this incident. I stand with the players during this difficult time.”

Due to the unacceptable circumstances, the Super Eagles have decided to withdraw from their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match set for Tuesday and are currently en route back to Nigeria.
