American actor, Martin Mull is dead

Veteran American comic actor and musician Martin Mull has passed away at the age of 80. He died at his home in Los Angeles on Thursday following a long illness, as confirmed by his wife, Wendy Mull, on Friday.

His daughter, Maggie Mull, a TV writer and comic artist, also confirmed his death, expressing in an Instagram post: “My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, the sign of a truly exceptional person.

Martin Mull gained prominence in the 1970s through shows such as ‘Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’ and ‘Fernwood 2-Night,’ and remained active in television and film over the next half-century.

Melissa Joan Hart, his co-star from the series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ paid tribute to him on Instagram, describing him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”
