Anambra lawmaker appoints 70 aides
The member representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives Afam Ogene, has announced the appointment of 70 aides to support his legislative work. This decision aligns with Ogene’s commitment to providing exceptional service to his constituents.
The newly appointed aides include advisers, special assistants, executive assistants, and others, each tasked with specific roles to support Ogene’s office.
The appointment letters, signed by Ogene’s Chief of Staff, Chinedum Uwolloh, outline their responsibilities which include aiding in the delivery of services to the Ogbaru Federal Constituency and performing other duties as assigned.
The appointees were selected based on their experience and dedication to enhancing Ogene’s effectiveness as a representative and improving the well-being of the Ogbaru community. They will receive monthly allowances designed to support them financially and ensure they can focus on their roles without financial strain.
Ogene’s appointment strategy reflects his pledge made in February 2024 during a thanksgiving program celebrating his tribunal victory. In his public commitment, Ogene vowed to be a responsible and responsive representative, prioritizing the needs of his constituents and upholding principles of equity, fairness, and integrity.
Notable appointees include David Chukwuekezie as Special Adviser (Political), Ben Nwasike as Special Adviser (Political), Emmanuel Akpati as Head of Media Relations, Maxwell Nwebo as Special Assistant (Events), Frank Oduah as Personal Assistant (Education Programmes), Tina Nwafor as Special Assistant (Women Mobilisation), and Amechi Ede as Executive Assistant (Religious Affairs).
These appointments are expected to bolster Ogene’s efforts in delivering effective representation and fostering community development in Ogbaru.
