Arsenal Key Defender Misses Training Ahead Man United Clash

Takehiro Tomiyasu was not seen in training on Tuesday as Arsenal preparations for Sunday’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Tomiyasu played the entire 90 minutes of Saturday’s 3-0 win against Bournemouth, but was unavailable to be found on Tuesday when Mikel Arteta’s side exercised at their Colney base.

Video footage captured highlighted the fact the Japanese international was not present.

However, summer signing Jurrien Timber was involved in Tuesday’s training.

Timber was left out of the matchday squad at the weekend, despite being in contention to make his long-awaited first-team return.

Should Tomiyasu fail to be part of the Arsenal contingent at Old Trafford on Sunday, a chance could therefore arise for Timber.
