Renowned Nigerian Comedian Basketmouth has caused a stir by promoting polygamy and referencing biblical instances.
The comedian made a comparison between Biblical characters who had one wife and those who had multiple wives on his Instagram story.
According to Basketmouth, those that married one wife in the Bible lost their way at the end of the day and betrayed God.
On the other hand, the Bible characters that married more than one wife all found favour in the eyes of the Lord.
Then he gave everyone the go-ahead to do with the information as they saw fit.
In his words;
“According to the Holy Bible, Ahab – 1 wife Herod – 1 wife Ananias-1 wife Pontius Pilate – 1 wife Jeroboam – 1 wife Nebuchadnezzar. – 1 wife Haaman – 1 wife Zakayo – 1 wife. And they all lost their way and betrayed God.
“Abraham -3 wives Jacob – 4 wives David – 4 wives Solomon – 700 wives and 300 concubines Rehoboam – 18 wives Abijah – 14 wives Elkanah – 2 wives Lemech-2 wives eygiwa
